National FM Scotland is the on-line showcase for its interviews and podcasts

It is owned by David Semler who grew up in a media environment. He has in his day presented local radio shows on several local radio stations.

His parents were both born in what was then Czechoslovakia, while he himself was born in the UK.

For the last twenty years besides working in radio he has also owned a music shop, managed a restaurant and hotel and currently also own an on-line musical instrument dealership

What We Do

The philosophy is simple. National FM and National FM Scotland are looking for the better part of every situation and individual it comes in contact with.

"It is so easy for us to concentrate on what is wrong with a situation or person but actually it is much more satisfactory to focus on the better side of life or help to improve things that need improving.

This does not mean we do not report on difficult issues or avoid more challenging questions but we take the approach of "Are we helping to improve the situation ?"
